a family enjoy the lagoonThis popular trip leaves the jetty at Miavaig, in Uig, most days throughout the summer (with the exception of Sunday)  weather permitting. Heading out Loch Roag and past the village of Reef, we head up into little loch Roag to look for otters as this is one off the most likely places to find them in Uig,  We also might be lucky and catch a glimpse  of the Sea eagle that patrol this area, a magnificent bird of prey that can sometimes be sitting on a rock close by watching us.  A quick look at the heronry that is unusual as the herons nest on the cliff face. From there we head for the sweeping length of Traigh na the sea caves on PabbayBerie towards the island of Siaram, then on to Pabbay Mor. Following along the west side of Pabbay we slow down to explore the amazing interiors of the sea-caves before going round the North end of Pabbay at Marsgair and into the natural arch at Geodha na Sgarbh. From there we cruise into the beautiful Pabbay Lagoon. With beaches on all sides and aqua-marine water, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the Caribbean!
On our return run, we stop off to see the seals and lift a couple of lobster pots to check the day's catch. A relaxing trip for all ages as parts of this trip are done at slow speeds and in relatively calm water.the lagoon on pabbay from the sky
